For some reason I felt like blogging about the top 10 most listened to songs on my iPod/iTunes.

Clazziquai, “Ping”
I’ve been consistently disappointed in Clazziquai‘s music after LOVE CHILD of the CENTURY, with the exception of songs like Flea and Rapunzel, but Ping is really refreshing and reflective of the Clazziquai that I love. Me gusta mucho!

What is this monstrosity?!
This is the new Nintendo DSi LL (large-large?) and it’s big. The screens are 4.25 inches (!!!) and could probably beat my measly pink DS Lite to a pulp. I don’t think I’d want one if it ever was released in the US, but imagine how EPIC games would be on those screens…
You can find more info at CNET.

Small TV. College life!
Yeaaahah, so I basically snuck my Nintendo GameCube with me on my way back to the dorms and I’ve been playing Tales of Symphonia. I’ve beaten this game twice — almost a third, but I forgot what was happening on my old file and started fresh yesterday — and it never gets old. I also brought my DS and beat Golden Sun and am in the middle of Golden Sun: The Lost Age, but I’ve been itching to play a console game. I treated myself to about three hours of game play today and it was very, very relaxing. 🙂 I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCHHH
Apparently there is a sequel, but I read the summary and I don’t know how I feel about it. It seems a little interesting, but for now I’m going to pretend it doesn’t exist. Haha.

it’s a real problem
I’m almost convinced that SHINee makes the music I wish TVXQ would make. I think this almost every time I listen to, let’s say, 내 곁에만 있어 (Best Place). When I actually listened to their album in full after my friend bought it for me and heard that song I was like, “woah”. There’s something very slick and modern about their music (even though most of it is sampled/a cover/not completely original). It’s cool. Even Super Junior has been getting cool music — perfect example would be Sorry Sorry. Not only was it 201838213x better than MIROTIC, the choreography was fucking fantastic. And then the songs from their repackage ♥ It’s like SM thinks TVXQ can get away with getting shitty music because they can outsing any group ever.
But back to SHINee; there hasn’t been a song of theirs that I haven’t liked. AMIGO was a little too loud for my tastes and Juliette was originally sung by Corbin Bleu, but for the most part — I really, really do like their music. And their latest song (title song, maybe?)… well, I think I’m going to love it.

happy wednesday.
When a bored college student learns that a long lost aunt has been found dead in a park, he begins piecing together her life to see if it had any value. What he finds is a revelation. Talented film director, Tetsuya Nakashima (“Kamikaze Girls” 04), wields a host of cinematic tools to make “Memories of MATSUKO” a memorably entertaining and emotionally powerful “fairytale tragedy,” weaving together realistic human drama with offbeat comedy and spectacular (Bob Fosse-like) production numbers to tell the heartbreaking story of Matsuko Kawajiri, a starry-eyed woman who spends her entire life serching for a worthy “prince” capable of returning her limitless love. Versatile actress, Miki Nakatani, renders a virtuosic performance in the lead role of Matsuko.

ABRACADABRA 다 이뤄져라
Brown Eyed Girls’ new song Abracadabra is amazing. I don’t know what it is about the song, but I love it. I’ve had it on repeat for (LITERALLY) two days straight. The music video on the other hand … :o RISQUE! But I do like the sideways sway they all do during the main verse.
This is the first time I’m fully listening to them, outside of their performances on Inkigayo, & I really liked what I heard on Sound-G. I do have to say though, these girls have great voices and are capable of singing without being autotuned all over the place (ex: 못 가), but I still thought it was a pretty good album.

“Are you an amateur?”
Let me start out by saying that THIS DRAMA MAKES ME SO HAPPY. After watching a string of dramas that were a bit weak (but still crazy fun to watch), this happened and I am glad. Meitantei no Okite is outrageous in a good way. It’s not too over the top like Atashinchi no Danshi, but has just the right amount to keep me laughing through the entire episode. And it doesn’t hurt that Matsuda Shota is killing me with his acting. He’s such a dork, it’s adorable. ❤ And I have to give Kashii Yu (who’s annoyingly gorgeous) and Kimura Yuichi credit for holding their own, too. It turns out that MNO was based on a book by Keigo Higashino, who also wrote the one Ryuusei no Kizuna was based off of. I actually find this a lot more engaging than MR. BRAIN (both are of the mystery/”comedy” genre), to be quite honest… so if you’re looking for a drama to make you laugh & a good mystery, do watch this one!
This post doesn’t really do it any justice… -
Eh, eh, eh.
I didn’t really start liking 2NE1 until I watched their performance on SBS Inkigayo a couple weeks back. They’re fierce! I like that CL can actually rap well, and her English is great. Their outfits were a little on the outrageous side, though. I also worry about Sandara & her singing…
Their new song— I like it. It’s not as energetic as Fire, it’s not the greatest song, but I like it. I’d also like to know what YG Entertainment’s definition of reggae is. I believe this is the second time they’ve classified a song as having a reggae sound. It’s POP, guys.

“Sick of tea? That’s like being sick of breathing!”
I haven’t been doing much these days, except being a hermit to the max & rewatching old Avatar: The Last Airbender episodes. The more I watch it, the more I seriously think that it’s the greatest cartoon I’ve ever watched in my life. I’m a little more than halfway through Book 2, but I think it’s gearing up to my favorite of all the seasons, hands down. You’ve got Toph, fugitives Zuko and Iroh … what could be better? :)
