Naturally the show with the best concept would have one of the best openers!

It’s a really dyanmic and vibrant opening sequence, and the high powered guitar opening helps a bit, too. Such energy! While I thought it was better than 2011’s “Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro”, I can’t say the same about “Akuryou no Kagi”! I thought it lacked direction and tried too hard to live up to its predecessor by introducing references where it made no sense.
Honorable Mention: “The Long Goodbye” (NHK / 2014), “Hero” (Fuji TV / 2001) and “Aoi Honoo” (TV Tokyo / 2014). The guy who directed the first season of Yuusha Yoshihiko also worked on Aoi Honoo! You can watch the opening here. It seems to be loved by many!
